Unregistered county residents who want to vote in the Nov. 6 election have until Tuesday to register.

Residents can register at the county Superintendent of Elections Office on Eayerstown Road in Lumberton, or at the County Clerk's Office in the courts facility off Rancocas Road in Mount Holly.

The office of the Superintendent of Election will remain open until 9 p.m. Tuesday. For additional information and a voter registration form, visit http://www.state.nj.us/lps/elections/electionshome.html.

This year's election involves all 120 seats in the state Legislature. Voters in each district will elect two members of the Assembly and a senator.

Voters also will decide four statewide public questions.

The first question asks voters whether the state constitution should be amended to set aside 1 percent of revenue generated by state taxes for permanent property tax relief fund.

The second question asks voters to authorize the New Jersey Stem Cell Research Bond Act, which would allow the state to issue $450 million in bonds for grants to fund stem cell research projects at institutions of higher education and other entities in the state conducting scientific and medical research.

The third question asks voters to approve the Green Acres, Farmland, Blue Acres and Historic Preservation Bond Act of 2007.

The act would allow the state to issue $200 million in bonds to acquire and develop land for recreation and conservation purposes; preserve farmland for agricultural or horticultural use; acquire floodways of the Delaware River, Passaic River and Raritan River and their tributaries that are prone to or have incurred flood or storm damage, for recreation and conservation services; and fund historic preservation projects.

The fourth question asks that a portion of the state constitution be amended to eliminate the phrase "idiot or insane person" and replace it with "person who has been adjudicated by a court of competent jurisdiction to lack the capacity to understand the act of voting."
